Five hours. A world of clinical experience. A head start on your future.
Clinical work experience is notoriously difficult to secure. And even when students manage to arrange hospital or dental practice placements, opportunities to participate, ask questions and understand what's happening can be limited.
We're doing things differently.
Introducing The Medology Work Experience — an immersive, interactive clinical simulation designed to bring the world of Medicine and Dentistry to life.
Step into the shoes of a doctor or dentist. Navigate realistic patient scenarios, make clinical decisions, tackle ethical challenges and discover what working in healthcare actually involves.
But this isn't just about exploring Medicine or Dentistry.
It's about building the understanding, experience and reflections that can make a real difference when preparing for university applications and interviews.
What will you take away?
🩺 Experience healthcare, rather than simply hearing about it.
Work through realistic clinical cases, explore patient care and discover the responsibilities and challenges of being a doctor or dentist. Understand what happens behind the scenes and why clinicians make the decisions they do.
🎓 Build valuable material for university applications and interviews.
Universities want applicants who understand their chosen profession and can reflect thoughtfully on their experiences. We'll help you identify what you've learned, explain why it matters and develop genuine examples you can draw upon when preparing for applications and MMIs.
🧠 Develop the skills and qualities that matter in healthcare.
Explore communication, empathy, teamwork, ethical judgement, problem-solving and professionalism through interactive activities and realistic scenarios.
📘 Leave with something genuinely useful.
Take home your exclusive Medology Clinical Experience Passport, containing your learning, completed reflections and key takeaways — a resource to revisit as you progress towards university.
💬 Learn what universities actually want to hear.
Discover how to move beyond simply listing experiences. Learn how to explain what an experience taught you, how it influenced your understanding of healthcare and how to communicate that insight confidently.
One experience. Two pathways.
At checkout, you'll choose the profession you're interested in:
MEDICINE
Explore clinical reasoning, patient assessment, communication, medical ethics and the everyday responsibilities of doctors.
DENTISTRY
Explore oral healthcare, patient communication, clinical decision-making, dental ethics and the everyday responsibilities of dentists.
Each pathway includes relevant scenarios and reflection activities within the wider event.
Why is this worth doing?
Strong grades alone don't demonstrate an understanding of what it means to become a doctor or dentist.
Students also need to understand the realities of healthcare, appreciate the responsibilities of clinical practice and demonstrate that they've explored their chosen profession thoughtfully.
That's precisely what this experience is designed to help them do.
Whether you're exploring Medicine or Dentistry for the first time or already preparing for university interviews, you'll gain insight, experiences and structured reflections that remain useful throughout your admissions journey.
